Tea with Mrs. Skinner

March 12, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

$12

Mrs. Mary Skinner first resident settler Eugene OregonMeet Mrs. Eugene Skinner, the first woman settler in the Eugene area, and listen to her talk about her life here. Our costumed interpreter will take you back in time at the Shelton McMurphey Johnson House, the area’s only Victorian house musuem. Gather in the parlor (wear your historic clothing if you like!) and enjoy her talk, then explore the items in the Westward Migration trunk from the Lane County Historical Society. Mrs. Skinner will lead the discussion about what each item was used for. Then have cookies and tea with us, and go on a special tour of the SMJ house, led by their staff.

What a wonderful day of connecting with local history!

We have two times for presentations:

1pm and 2:15pm

Both shows are sold out at this time, please contact us to be on the wait list in case there are cancellations.

Also consider signing up for our mailing list (see the home page sidebar) so that you will get our newsletter.

Cost: $12 per individual, $35 for a family of four (additional guests $8 each)

See the SMJ House website for more information about this historic treasure.
