Chipmunk Circle: You are the Land for Pre-K to Kinder
Join us for the Chipmunk Circle for children ages 3 to 5 and learn about indigenous culture with KwisKwis, a Townsend’s chipmunk stuffy.
This engaging and hands-on curriculum will delight your little ones! With story books and simple activities children will begin to learn words and concepts about First Nations culture and healthy relationships with nature.
We will be reading You are the Land by Steph Littlebird (Grand Ronde Tribe) and doing nature activities to connect with the concepts. Perfect for busy little bodies!
The teaching staff at Singing Creek Ed. Center may not necessarily be Native themselves but they are well trained and respectful of other cultures. The series uses items from the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde including books, the stuffy, and online curriculum.
