poineer day flyer small for webPlease mark your calendars for our Pioneer Day on May 30th at the Pioneer Schoolhouse and granary building at Singing Creek!

We are going to have a hayride, make-your-own lemonade stand, bake sale, clothes washing pioneer style, tanning and leatherworks booth, blacksmithing, stone bead-making, fiber arts and more! It will be a day of fun! Check out the pond and creek, and the history of the one-room schoolhouse built in 1888. Cost will be $5 donation per person or $15 for families.

Fiddle music provided by Truman Price, a.k.a. Pa Ingalls, who knows all the tunes from Little House on the Prairie. See a video of him here.

We hope you will join us. And we NEED YOU to volunteer to make this day a success. Call or email Karen for more info or to help out! 541 968-1986.

There are lots of ways to help, from hayride monitor to lemonade server. Proceeds will help Singing Creek and also the Pioneer Schoolhouse project, owned by Sue and Tom Hunton.

Driving Directions from Eugene: Take Hwy 99 North, past the airport, and past the Fiddler’s Green Golf Club. Turn left on Meadowview, and go 1.4 miles to Purkerson Rd and turn right. Just a little ways down on the left you will see the white schoolhouse, pull into driveway.

See you there!
