Letters From the Trail is a unique program where a costumed interpreter (Mrs. Annabelle Smith from the Oregon Trail) will give a talk and hand out letters to each child in attendance. These fictional letters were written by boys and girls on the Oregon Trail from 1850 – 1860 detailing their challenges, hopes and dreams for a better future in Oregon. The letters come with a question and answer sheet for each child to fill out at home about their letter, helping them use critical thinking skills.
Cost is free. Join us for a lovely time!
