We are so excited to start moving to our new home at the Camas Country Mill and to be working with Tom and Sue Hunton. We are trying out a new relationship for one year and seeing how things go. Their farm, creek and pond, and pioneer schoolhouse and granary is the perfect location for our pioneer summer camps and historical programs. We are very grateful to John and Willa Alvord for their support and generosity over these past 8 years, and they will be helping us move much of the supplies and collections over to the new location.
More changes: we are changing our name to Singing Creek Educational Center, and we will still offer the same high-quality programs you have come to know and expect. We are adding a new staff person this year, Samantha, who loves kids and has a warm, bright personality. Some familiar faces from last year will be back, Anna Morgan and Sallie Vandagrift, so look for them!
We are going to need your help to move the museum and pioneer collections- stay tuned for a work party day!
