NEW! Pre-K indigenous learning in your classroom or library
This engaging and hands-on curriculum will delight your young students!
For ages 2.5 – 6
Our instructor will read storybooks from the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, with the help of KwisKwis, our stuffy (a Townsend’s Chipmunk.) Follow along as he discovers the colors around him in the world, ie.”the regalia is red.” The story gently introduces new words for indigenous awareness.
Help KwisKwis sort the acorns from the hazelnuts and put them in a basket. With the story “Little Bear” we will learn about the ways we can tell the seasons are changing. The books and stuffy were sent from Conf. Tribes of Grand Ronde for use in our teaching.
Then we will read the storybook Native American Animals and color animal masks from the book. Take home your mask to help remember the stories.
