DESCRIPTION:Join us Feb 15th and 16th at the Lane County Fairgrounds at the annual Frontier Heritage Fair! 9am to 5pm on Saturday 9am to 4pm on Sunday \nThis indoor family-friendly event features booths\, exhibits\, crafts\, artisans and live music! See the  the frontier\, wild west and Civil War era goods and demonstrations.We will be doing our always popular corn dollie making craft! Create your own boy or girl doll and dress it up with clothing you create. (Donation $1 per doll)  \nThere is a small entrance fee to come into the fair but it’s well worth it! We hope to see you there. \nA great time for the whole family! This is happening at the same time as the Asian Celebration\, but in a different building. Make plans to do both events! \nIf you want to volunteer for a shift at our booth you can get in free. Your kids can come along and help if you volunteer. SUMMARY:Homestead Arts: Beyond Sauerkraut Class
DESCRIPTION:Ready to explore the world of fermentation? Learn how to make your own fermented pickles\, salsa\, hot sauce\, a variety of fermented non-alcoholic beverages\, and even corned beef. Take home a pint of giardiniera and some habanero hot sauce to finish fermenting at home. No previous fermentation experience necessary. Bring a clean wide-mouth pint jar with lid or and extra $1 to purchase from instructor. \nThis class is for adults and teens and takes place at the Snapp House in Cottage Grove on Tuesday Feb 18th\, 6pm – 8pm. The class is part of the Singing Creek Educational Center’s Homestead Arts series. Please pre-register and pay online (not a drop-in class).
