DESCRIPTION:Learn what it was like to be an Oregon settler in 1890 at the Shelton McMurphey Johnson House in Eugene.  Pioneer dress-up clothes and bonnets are available or bring your own. Fun activities and authentic “chores” and crafts await you in this class where you can earn your Playing the Past badge in a truly unique and hands-on way. The Museum was opened in 1994 with just one floor available for viewing by the public. Now open 6 days a week and furnished on all three floors\, the Museum is a beautiful example of what life might have looked like in the 1930’s for the Shelton McMurphey Family. \n
