DESCRIPTION:Due to the Coronavirus we have to cancel this event. We hope to reschedule! Please check back.\nGo back in time and live like an Oregon settler in 1890 at the historic Dr. Snapp House. Built in 1886\, this home is in a park next to the Coast Fork Willamette River. Pioneer dress-up clothes and bonnets are available or bring your own. Fun activities and authentic “chores” and crafts await you in this class where you can earn your Playing the Past badge in a truly unique and hands-on way. Activities may include: churning butter\, grinding grain\, finger crocheting\, sewing\, square dancing\, quill pen writing\, make a pioneer toy and more! Girl Scout badge earned: Junior Playing the Past (badge not included with registration). For Juniors level Girl Scouts Only. \nSignup on their website at:  http://www.girlscoutsosw.org/ \nFees are charged by Girl Scouts. Cost is $21.25 per girl\, adults are free.

DESCRIPTION:Due to the Coronavirus we have to cancel this event. We hope to reschedule! Please check back.\nJoin us on Saturday\, May 16th\, 2020 at Aragon Alpacas for a fuzzy\, friendly and FUN day of learning about alpacas and fiber arts.\nWe will pet the alpacas and may even see some newborn babies (or VERY pregnant mamas)! Go inside and learn needle felting\, spinning\, carding wool and finger crocheting. Dress in your pioneer costume for some wonderful themed photo opps. Join us rain or shine to meet some sweet\, docile alpacas and learn all about the many uses of their wool. \nThis event is Pre-registration ONLY.\nTime: 1pm – 3:30pm. \nCost is $10 per participating child\, ages 6 and up please.\nYounger sibs including toddlers and babies are fine to tag along if they are watched carefully by a parent at all times.
