SUMMARY:Homestead Arts: Basket Making
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Friday November 9\, 2018 and make your own simple basket to take home. Our guest instructor\, Cheryl Chambers\, has been teaching this class for years\, mostly to senior citizens and local centers. We provide all the materials and instruction. Best for ages 10 and up. \nCost is $10 per basket made (two people can work on one basket if you like.) \nThe class is two hours so that you can finish a simple basket in that time. We provide hot tea in our cozy granary building\, our “pioneer homestead” building. This is a great way to make a gift for someone and have fun! If you prefer not to use the form below\, you can email Karen your contact info and how many are coming\, and pay at the door. \nBelow is a picture of Cheryl teaching basket-making at our Living History Festival in 2018.

SUMMARY:Girl Scouts: Winter Crafts – Candle Dipping and Mini Holiday Wreaths
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a wonderful day of creating seasonal gifts!\nMake some candles and mini holiday wreaths to decorate a tree. For candles\, we will fill molds and do some dipping into hot wax\, just like the pioneers did– on the wood burning stove. (With adult close supervision.) Decorate your own mini wreath with pinecones\, ribbons\, dried natural items and a few glittery items. \nSupplies and instruction are included for your $10 fee per person. Bring your old broken candle pieces to add to the bubbling pot\, and any special trinkets you would like to add to a tiny wreath- (about 4 inches wide). \nClass is on Saturday November 17th from 1pm -3pm. \nThis class is for registered Girl Scouts only and you will need to register on their website. \n \nPlease wear clothes you can get dirty in. You must pre-register and pay in advance. \nWe look forward to seeing you there! \n \n
